Apple Dumplin is the last Berry Girl introduced in Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures.

Bio

Apple Dumplin is Strawberry Shortcake's younger cousin who stops by for a visit to Berry Bitty City to shake things up with her wild tales of adventure. She decides to stay after coming to cherish the bonds she made with the others.

Appearance

Being younger, Apple appears to be smaller and a bit slimmer than the other Berry girls. She has light pink lips and light blue eyes, and like her cousin, she has freckles between them. Her straightened and long, strawberry blonde hair down is worn with a braid on the left held by an apple clip with her bangs brushed to the side. She usually wears a red knit beanie. Sometimes she puts her hair in pigtails, held her braid tucked into the left one, and with no hat.

Normally Apple wears a white top with red lining beneath a dark yellow buttoned vest accent by a melon line around the middle. Her orange copper gingham skirt is worn with yellow and white striped leggings and apple colored boots with white bottom and an apple ornament on the back corner. She often carries a brown purse with an apple on it.

For casual outings, she can be seen in a yellow and gold parka shirt with red sleeves, collar, and apple design in the middle on the bottom. Her shorts are melon colored, and she wears orange and red sneakers with an apple motif and white toe. At other times she was shown with a yellow elbow-sleeve top instead.

Personality

Spirited and outgoing, Apple is highly curious about the world surrounding her. Like any other traveler or explorer she adores a chance to recall past experiences and showing what she's gone through. She is very intelligent in technology, machinery, and mechanics being able to create machines and gadgets to assist or have fun with her friends, or to fix things such as technology and the Berry works.

Despite Apple's smarts, she is not always wise. She can be very impulsive, easily distracted, and forget things due to her excitable nature. Her rowdy energy can cause her to come off as rude without realizing it. She also can't keep a secret. Additionally because of the exposure of many different traditions, Apple can sometimes have mixed up especially with social norms. Not only that, she may accidentally get too involved and cause problems or worsen things- thinking she was helping. Apple often comes up with new ideas, but some are half-baked and cause much havoc and inconvenience, because she does not think everything through (the color/light display in "Berry Bitty Adventurer", the Groove Booties).

Although Apple loves the attention she gets from her exciting experiences in life, deep down she is actually lonely and fairly bored always moving around, having lost her passion for it sometime back. She admits not to doing it for herself anymore, and worries nobody would like the real her if she quit. Her biggest fear is that she doesn't fit in with others. However, her fear gradually decreases once she spends more time in Berry Bitty City.

Apple specializes in electronics, computer programming, and mechanism engineering.

She also seems to be a natural when it comes to anything sporty and knows a lot about exploration.

• Strawberry: Apple's older cousin. Although they don't quarrel like the grape twins, Apple's rambunctiousness and Strawberry's cautious nature occasionally clash. Despite all of this, Strawberry looks out for Apple, who loves to help Strawberry whenever she can. Their cheery dispositions is what bonds them together.
• Orange and Cherry: They rarely interacted. But were shown to be good friends.
• Blueberry: Both girls are smart academically in different ways, Blueberry - book smart, Apple - math and tech smart.
• Lemon: Apple is a close friend with Lemon.
• Raspberry:
• Plum: They sometimes interact, but overall have a good friendship and can relate due to their rowdiness and comedic humor.
• Huckleberry: There wasn't interaction between them.
• Sweet Grapes: Sweet is seen supportive of Apple when it comes to her technology and blog.
• Sour Grapes: Apple is the one who shows Sour the error of her ways in "The Berry Best Biscuit", once she retaliates the latter for her rudeness causing a prank war, and later on picking up her bad habits. Eventually, they become good friends and they relate due to their free spirit and spunk.

• Apple Dumplin was a baby in the original and first reboot of Strawberry Shortcake. She shares her red and yellow theme coloring with her.
  • In the 2003 reboot of Strawberry Shortcake, Apple Dumplin was her little sister and had a red, green and yellow theme coloring. However, her hair color matches that of the aged-up Apple Dumplin on toy box artwork.
• Apple is the second girl in the show to normally wear a hat, following Strawberry.
• She is the second girl to have braided hair, following Lemon.
• She is the fourth girl to wear boots normally, following Orange, Cherry (who alternates with flats), and Sour.
• Apple is the first and only Berry Girl who is cousins with another one.
  • This makes her the second girl related to another girl in the group, following the Grape Twins.
