Toad Simmons is one of the minor characters featured in Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures. He is the editor of "Berry Bitty Mysteries" magazine.
Toad Simmons is voiced by Paul Dobson, who also voices Berrykin Bloom, Berrykin Bill, Mr. Longface and Bosley Bookworm.
The Mystery of the Disappearing Dog Show[]
Blueberry sends the magazine a story that she and Huckleberry wrote. Toad sends Blueberry a polite rejection letter "We regret to inform you that your mystery story is not what Berry Bitty Mysteries magazine is looking for at this time". Blueberry and Huckleberry are disappointed, but write another story and send it.
Later, Toad calls Blueberry and compliments her and Huckleberry for the second story. He explains that their previous story was rejected because its writing style resembled Patty Persimmon novels too much, and he is looking for original ideas - just as the new story is. He is fascinated by the idea of a dog show mystery, and promises to publish it the next month, if they are willing to sell it. Blueberry and Huckleberry are overjoyed to hear the good news.
Appearance[]
Toad Simmons has a green skin and large protruding eyes. He wears a brown coat, a yellow bow tie and blue glasses with rectangle lenses.
