Trading Sizes is an episode of Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures.
Summary[]
Raspberry accidentally creates a special perfume that enlarges Berrykin. Initially this makes work a lot easier, but soon their increased size starts to cause trouble.
Episode Review[]
Strawberry is making her rounds around Berry Bitty City, checking out the Berrykin at work and eventually coming across Berrykin Bloom, who informs her of an experiment he's working on. It's a spray that makes flowers different sizes. Strawberry wishes him luck and continues on the way to spot Raspberry picking flower petals. She tells Strawberry about the perfume she's been working on. Strawberry leaves a while later and the trio fail to notice some petals splashed with the spray of Berrykin Bloom's have landed into her perfume bottle.
My eyes hurt...
Later, during Quilting Club the others wonder where Raspberry could be. She joins them and is very tired, and her eyes are hurting so she finds it too hard to do any quilting. Princess Berrykin asked her to make some new waders for the Berrykins for their annual jam stomping and while Raspberry didn't mind doing the work, their small size makes it difficult. The others are sympathetic but she assures them that she will manage.
Raspberry is exhausted as evening rolls along, but she has a lot more waders to make. She sprays a little of her perfume in hopes of waking herself up, and to her surprise, the nearby object enlarges in size. Raspberry is shocked initially, but then she decides to enlarge the Berrykin. It would help her, and it can be helpful to them and the others too because they can make a lot more jam this way.
She calls the other girls to give them a demonstration, and they love the outcome. So she begins to help them with their own purposes as well. Unfortunately, the berrykin begin to cause trouble while running around Berry Bitty City. Princess Berrykin and Strawberry walk by to witness this, and they realize that in this condition they aren't capable of working the Berryworks, or stomping jam until they're back to normal. The other girls soon join them and ask Raspberry if she had seen anything, but she denies it until they spot a large berrykin carrying her perfume bottle.
Meanwhile, a berrykin bothers Berrykin Bloom, who is currently hiding in a bush.
Back at Strawberry's Cafe, Raspberry explains her reasons for growing the Berrykin as Berrykin Bloom and the Princess come inside. His spray isn't working now and he doesn't understand why, and nobody has any ideas as to what happened. Strawberry suggests they work together to try to make a perfume to fix everything.
Later, Strawberry tests it out by spraying a mannequin. Nothing happens though, and Berrykin Bloom observes the perfume to spot the sparkles within it. He asks Raspberry to capture some in this new perfume and they try that, now being able to shrink things after they test it out on a hat. The group prepare to leave when a gold ball flies at them and hits the perfume, causing it to spill all over them and make them shrink. Raspberry and Berrykin Bloom continue to try working on a perfume that will fix everything, but all they manage to do is change the colors of the Boutique. Another spray causes the hat from earlier to vanish.
The Princess points out they need to hurry up or else the juice supply will run out and Raspberry begins to feel guilty for what she did. She didn't realize it would cause so much harm. Orange asks who will run the shops, and as they talk the berrykin are shown causing chaos around the city. At the cafe they make a mess trying to figure out how to cook, and at Blueberry Books things aren't looking any better, with a Berrykin who has no clue how to sort any of the books until another suggests they do it by color.
At the Berryworks the girls are struggling trying to do the berrykins work in the mean time. Plum mentions how easy it looked when the Berrykin did it, and Princess Berrykin attempts to help them but it doesn't make much of a difference.
Raspberry and Berrykin Bloom keep trying with the perfume and spray a nearby blue berrykin, and to their delight it shrinks back down to normal size.
By now the berrykin are tired, and they ask to return to normal. They get sprayed and return to their jobs, and Raspberry helps the girls grow back to their normal sizes. She feels depressed over what she did and apologizes for trying to change the berrykin like that. Seeing that she learned her lesson, Strawberry notes that none of them ever realized just how hard the Berrykins work here. They deserve to be appreciated a little more and cite that because of Raspberry they learned this. To help her out, the other girls offer to help her with the rest of the outfits.

Lessons[]
The girls learn to appreciate the Berrykin for all of their hard work and efforts.
Meanwhile, Raspberry learns that while she had a lot of difficult work ahead of her, she shouldn't try to cut corners to make things easier. In doing so it may inconvenience others and cause worse problems.
Trivia[]
- This is the first time to show or reference someone having trouble with the Berrykins' size, with Raspberry mentioning how hard it was to sew their outfits.
- The second time would be during "Practice Makes Perfect" when Lemon uses special goggles to let her see the Princess Berrykin's toenails to make painting them easier.
Goofs[]
- Back in "Babysitter Blues", Blueberry mentioned the powers from a Berrykin only work on Berries. But in this episode, they show that their power works on other things.
- Near the end, Strawberry refers to Raspberry's growth mix as a potion. While she is technically right, it was never referred to as that at any other point in the episode.
